Slipped & Broken Tile Repair
Slipped or broken tiles let water and wind into the roof structure. We replace them properly — mechanically fixed, not just rebedded in mortar.

- Single-tile to full row replacements
- Concrete, clay & slate tiles matched
- Tile clips & nails — not just mortar
- Ridge & hip re-bedding
- Same/next-week response
- Scaffold for anything above eaves height
Why tiles slip in the first place
Original nails rust. Mortar bedding on ridges and hips fails after 25–30 years. High winds finish the job. Once one tile goes, the ones around it loosen quickly — so it's worth dealing with promptly.
What we do on a tile repair visit
We strip back the affected area, source matching tiles (we keep stock of common 1960s–90s concrete patterns), and re-fix mechanically with copper or stainless nails or clips so the repair lasts as long as the surrounding roof.
FAQs
Can you match my existing tiles?+
Almost always. Most Buckinghamshire houses use Marley Modern, Redland 49, Sandtoft Calderdale or similar — all still available or close-matched from reclamation.
Do I need scaffolding for a few tiles?+
For single-storey extensions a roof ladder is usually enough. For anything above eaves height, scaffold or a tower goes up — it's safer and the price reflects it honestly.
