GRP Fibreglass Roofing

Fibreglass (GRP) gives a hard, seamless, walkable finish — ideal for balconies, dormers and high-traffic flat roofs where rubber wouldn't suit.

GRP Fibreglass Roofing
  • Fully bonded, seamless finish
  • Walkable & balcony-suitable
  • Coloured topcoats available
  • Pre-formed GRP trims
  • 25-year material life
  • Honest advice on when not to fit GRP

Where GRP wins over EPDM

Balconies, dormer roofs you walk out onto, porches that visitors stand on, and any roof where the surface itself is the finished aesthetic. GRP gives a hard wearing, paint-finish appearance that EPDM can't match.

When we'd talk you out of GRP

GRP cracks at flex points if the deck moves. On a long shed roof or anywhere the timber substrate isn't bombproof, EPDM is a better long-term call. We'll tell you straight which one suits your roof.

FAQs

Is GRP more expensive than EPDM?+

Slightly — typically 10–20% more fitted. The premium is worth it where you need a walkable, finished surface; not worth it on a standard extension roof.

Can GRP be laid in any weather?+

No — it needs dry conditions and reasonable temperature for the resin to cure. We schedule GRP jobs around the forecast.
