How blocked gutters cause real damage

Once water overshoots the gutter it runs down the wall, soaks the soffit, and rots the rafter feet. By the time you see damp internally, the timber is usually well gone — fixing the gutter is cheap; fixing the timbers is not.

Why brackets and falls matter as much as the clear

Most 'blocked' gutters actually have a sagging section that holds water and silt. Clearing them is half the job — re-bracketing to restore the fall is the other half.

FAQs

How often should gutters be cleared?+

Once a year on most Buckinghamshire houses; twice a year if you're surrounded by mature trees or have a low-pitched concrete tile roof.

Can you replace a section of cracked gutter?+

Yes — Hunter, Brett Martin, Marley and Floplast profiles are all stock items. We carry common 112mm and 125mm on the van.
